One of the most common questions homeowners, contractors, and property managers ask is simple: how long will it take to get my new windows? The answer can vary a lot depending on where you buy. If you go through a national supplier or big box store, you may be waiting 8 to 12 weeks or even longer. That kind of delay can stall your project and cost you money.
At Windowcrafters in Tucker, Georgia, we do things differently. Because we manufacture vinyl windows locally and build our own insulated glass in-house, most orders are ready in just 2 to 4 weeks. That means your project stays on schedule and your property is upgraded without unnecessary delays.
Why National Suppliers Take So Long
Big-box stores and national brands often offer long timelines for window orders. Why?
- Out-of-state production: Many windows are made in distant factories and must be shipped.
- Middlemen in the chain: Distributors and dealers add extra steps that slow things down.
- Limited stock: If your size or style is not standard, you will wait even longer.
- Slow warranty service: If something goes wrong, you may wait weeks or months for a fix.
For contractors and property managers, these delays can mean missed deadlines and frustrated clients. For homeowners, it means living with drafty, broken, or outdated windows longer than you should have to.
